Dr. Amy Sorrells joined For Women Only in 2009. She received her medical degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center, San Antonio in 2005. She completed her OB/GYN residency at the University of South Florida in Tampa. Dr. Sorrells is Board Eligible by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is active in the following organizations: ACOG, Kansas Medical Society and Medical Society of Johnson and Wyandotte Counties.

Dr. Sorrells’ areas of expertise include minimally invasive surgery, contraception, women’s health care across a lifetime, pre-term labor, prenatal education, obstetrics and colposcopy. Dr. Sorrells has presented research findings at the University of South Florida on Fetal Fibronectin and Preterm Labor. She maintains privileges at Overland Park Regional Medical Center, St. Luke’s South Hospital and Menorah Medical Center. When she is not seeing patients, she enjoys spending time with friends and family here in Kansas City.
